I recently designed two weddings at Elle by Stella, both in September and both with a bride named Jessica (quite the coinkydink!) but the two had very different colour palettes and different ideas that they were looking for…
Jessica wanted a colourful pastel palette with lots of variety, she wanted to frame the altar at the Elle by Stella Waterfall and she even wanted something pretty for her furball.
I chose summery wedding flowers like Zinnias, Delphinium and Lisianthus and I also added Hydrangeas which paired perfectly with the Hydrangeas already growing in the gardens of the venue.
For the main table, the couple wanted a sweetheart table with budvases and they opted to repurpose their ceremony arrangements in front of their table, while the iconic floral installation already at Elle by Stella framed their table from above.
For the guest tables I recommended lots of budvases with the same delicate pastel flowers as the bride’s bouquets and I also added votive candles for ambiance.
The bridal bouquet was light, airy and garden-style which is my specialty 😎
I made pretty bridesmaids’ bouquets which are usually done in the same style as the bride’s but smaller, and then for the groom, I created a floral pocket square which can be a nice alternative to the traditional boutonniere. And let’s not forget something pretty for the furbaby–she got a floral collar to match!
The second wedding wanted a similar garden-style feel but with a more fall/boho colour pallette.
I designed five floral arrangements for the large main table (3 large and 2 small to fill all of that horizontal space) and we also included sheer chiffon table runners and candles
For these guest tables I used table runners as well (this worked really well for the Elle by Stella wedding venue as their tables have a lot of empty space around them) and I used garland-style greenery and candles to decorate the guest tables.
The bridal bouquet was airy and feminine with toffee and quicksand roses and touches of dusty pink.
